Term 2: Check!
At the end of last term, we wrote about how exciting term 1 of 2019 was. Little did we know what the 2nd term had in store for us! That's also why it's been a little quite on the posting side - we've been so busy in the classroom, there wasn't much time for sitting behind the computer! With a 3-week winter holiday officially underway, we're playing catch-up on the news front.
Term 2 started off with World Autism Month, where our school and community stood proud in working together towards Autism Acceptance. Our school featured in the Suidernuus newspaper (twice!), the Bredasdorp library hosted a beautiful and informative display on Autism and our children were the guests of honour at the opening of the display, we had a broadcast on Radio Overberg and, along with Dr Pam Albertyn, we hosted an Autism information evening for parents and teachers.
Even more exciting news: Our class DOUBLED in size this term. Wow! We now have 6 eager, happy, smart boys in our school, and our classroom is bursting at the seams.
As always, we know it takes a village to raise a child - THANK YOU for being a part of our village!
